Another Year At Home?

I have been praying and hopig my admission into the University will come through. Unfortunately it didnt, even though my mum fought tooth and nail for it. Its sad to think that I have to write JAMB a third time even with my good grades in NECO. Sitting at home for another year isnt something anybody would like to go through. I have been through with school since July 2005 and this year will make it 2 full years that I will be sitting my ass in my house writting exams upon exams and waiting for the damn universities to offer me admission even with the high grades I have.

So many people that were offered admission in Nigerian Universities didnt even score half of what I had in my result last year. I pray I dont get to wait another year after this, and I pray I dont get to write any more exam appart from exams set by the University.

I gat to get back to my books real soon, else I wont be doing myself much good.

Queenzy, that’s very sad. I’ve never had faith in the UME. It’s the most flawed exam taken in Nigeria.

    I feel your pain.

HEY, CLD UNDERSTAND HOW YOU ARE FEELING BUT THEY SAY NO EXPERIENCE IS LOST IN LIFE, WILL ADVICE INSTEAD OF TO ALLOW THE UME SHIT WEIGH YOU DOWN JUST TRY AND LOOK FOR SOMETHING TO ENGAGE YOUR SELF IN THAT MIGHT COME IN HANDY LATER IN LIFE WHILE YOU WAIT FOR THE NEXT UME.( it might be learning a trade like bead making, interior decor or something) .

I’m really sorry that JAMB did not work out for you this time. Have faith in God. I can understand its not easy.

    Sorry girl…
I agree with Azuka, it’s the most flawed exam…
I totally feel you. I had to take JAMB twice (got admission the 2nd time). But after the first time I didn’t put my hope on JAMB. I got in through basic/prelim (You know what that is right?).
You should consider that option too…

i feel u.see urs is a lot better than mine.i finished in july 2004.and since then i have been at home too.but not just staying idle i mean and just writing exams waiting for the all mighty jamb.i have finished my computer school and im now CCNA certified.i have a job of which im been paid a good salary for my level.at least thats much better than staying at home and giving the devil a way to use me.and real soon i will be running a partime degree in the university thats if jamb does not favour me again.so i advice you not to sit at home doing nothing.go for any of these computer courses and i bet you u will make it in life.God knows why we are stilll at home cos thats the way our destiny should be.be strong.

I just want to wish you all the best in your determination to excel and succeed in Nigeria.

    You can make it.
Just believe and you will achieve.

Oh Queenzy, Its so sad to hear this news. I know its so demoralising for you but dont give up. Eventually you’ll get there. This is just a small deterrent. Is Abuja your catchment area? Cos I remember you saying you were hoping to get admission into a faculty there. Try for schools where ur state of origin is part of their catchment area. That way, you have a greater chance of being admitted. Cheers!!!

Behind the cloud there’s a silver lining. Never mind, this just means that the coming blessing is getting bigger. The more the delay, the bigger the outcome. Hang in there…
